Power of Light

I don’t understand! They worked just fine yesterday, now I can’t seem to catch any air.
I hate these darn wings, they are good for nothing sometimes.
I’m the toughest little moth around here, I can’t have anyone see me like this.
What will the other moth’s say? I will be laughed out of the flutter.
I’ve tried everything; I even clicked my heels together three times and said there’s no place
like home, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home.
It worked for that Dorothy character. Why wont it work for me?
Maybe I need that magic dog ?
I was about to give up. I bowed my head in shame and cried out silently for help.
I was suddenly drawn up to this light so fast, I was pulled right out of my slipper!
Right out of my slipper – can you imagine that?
Now I’m hanging on for dear life.
How could this happen?
Is this a trick? Zeek, is that you?
You wait till I get down from here.
Zeek? Anybody???
I need help!
My arms are not as strong as I thought they were.
Who could have done…
Wait, I’m feeling a strange sensation now in my heart;
Not sure what this is, it feels all warm and friendly-like.
My body is tingling as this bright light illuminates against me.
I feel energized, empowered, but also humbled and transformed.
I can feel the power in my wings coming back.
I also feel this strange new power within me.
I finally understand this Power of Light.
I stay for a while; then fly away.
I can’t wait to share this Power of Light with my friends.

I feel the depth between the lines a very moving piece, like a reflection through your inner thoughts.

Thank you, Karen for your thoughts and for visiting me. Magpies are always fun; I love weaving my faith into them somehow.
