Preparing for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just around the corner…how can that be? This year is just flying by. If you have not already started, it is time to start preparing the Thanksgiving dinner menu and visualizing how the table will look.

Thanksgiving List

It doesn’t matter whether you are feeding an army this year, or if it will just be the two of you. Preparing your Thanksgiving Feast is all about family, friends, giving thanks, and showing those you love how much they mean to you. If you haven’t been very good at doing this all year-long, take the time during this holiday to say I Love You!

Below are a few recipes and ideas I’ve found to make your Thanksgiving special. There is a little something for everyone in here. There are printables for the kids, Thanksgiving prayers for giving thanks before your meal, gluten free options, vegetarian Thanksgivings, beautiful table and decorating ideas, and some wonderful Thanksgiving recipes to help you have the best Thanksgiving ever.

How about a beautiful wreath for your door to welcome guests?

Don’t forget the decorations…

…and the beautiful table.

How about some printables for the kiddos?

And for that delicious meal, whether it’s gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan…

The Morgan family will be doing an all organic, gluten, and GMO free Thanksgiving again.

Whatever you do this Thanksgiving, don’t forget to take time out to bow your head and give thanks for all that you have been given; for all the things you take for granted all year-long that so many people around the world go without each day.

Look around you; if everything were to be taken from you tomorrow accept the things you’d given thanks for each day, what would you be left with?

What would life be like if you were left with only the things you had been grateful for?

Remember to practice gratitude this Thanksgiving season. Incorporate this into your daily life. Teach it to your children. It not only could change your life, it will if you practice it daily. Just you wait and see.

Happy Thanksgiving

 Keep the Faith,

Kim Adams Morgan

Hi Kim! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours in your new home. What a great way to be thankful for all the changes and the way God led you to the west coast!
We are hosting my sister, niece, and my daughter’s family. Thank goodness my brother stepped up to do the cooking and the dinner! Phew. I just have to provide the potatoes. Deal!

    Have a wonderful holiday!

I’m looking forward to having three other families (our closest friends) over next week for a pre-Thanksgiving meal. I’m so grateful for this tradition we started five years ago. And, now, could you come decorate for me!? Those are some lovely decoration ideas. I love how you’ve shared so many good ideas. And I’m glad you linked up at Three Word Wednesday.

Hi Kristin, Happy Thanksgiving. I love your tradition. That sounds like so much fun. Maybe I will have to incorporate that into our holiday traditions.
I’d love to come decorate, it is one of my most favorite things to do. Where do I show up? ;=) Thank you for coming by.

Hi Kim! Thank you for stopping by my blog yesterday! Thank you for your beautiful Thanksgiving post! lots of great ideas… and of course the most important of all Thanking Him for all He has done! We always open our home for people who don’t have family to spent it with. So this year including our family and others we will be hosting about 30 people for Thanksgiving! :) I tweeted your quote and am following you on twitter now too! Showers of blessings to you!!

Ah, Thanksgiving! Just me and Barbara and 26 dogs, 2 cats, a turtle, and a fish whose species I can’t spell.

It’s another duty day, but we will watch part of the Macy’s parade, and part of the national kennel CLub Dog Show. Barb may get to watch a football game (I think football’s for sissies, for I played rugby.)

Barb may have a dedicated holiday dinner, but I can only eat what I can keep down. Maybe a gluten-free bagel with cheese.

And for all of this, I am most profoundly thankful.

from our house to yours, Kim…salud, amor, y pesetas, y tiempo para gastarlas!

That is a full house, Andrew. My husband would go into shock with that many dogs. I am a dog lover. :-) I’m a big football fan and my team always plays on Thanksgiving; this is always part of our Thanksgiving tradition. I don’t know anything about Rugby. Good health (always praying) and love to you and Barbara.
